Questions and answers
Is PDFZyro really free?
Yes. The Free plan has no time limit and never adds a watermark. View, organize, comment, fill and sign as much as you like, with 3 edit, convert, compress or OCR tasks a day, 3 signature requests a month and 2 GB of storage. Pro adds unlimited tasks and is free to try for 7 days, with no card needed.
Do I need to install anything?
No. PDFZyro runs in a modern browser on Windows, Mac, Linux, Chromebooks, iPhone, iPad and Android. If you like, you can also install it from your browser as an app that opens in its own window.
Are PDFZyro e-signatures legally binding?
In the United States, the ESIGN Act and UETA recognize electronic signatures for most documents, and many other countries have similar laws. PDFZyro records each signer's consent to sign electronically, how they were identified and a complete audit trail, and seals the signed PDF so any later change can be detected. Some documents, such as wills or certain court filings, may still need a handwritten signature; if you are unsure, ask a lawyer.
Do the people I send documents to need an account?
No. Signers get an email with a personal link and sign in their browser, on a computer, tablet or phone. You can add an access code, or a code sent by text message, for extra checks.
Who can see my documents?
Only you, and the people or teams you choose to share them with. Every file is encrypted with its own key before it is stored, download links stop working after a few minutes, and every request is checked against your account.
Are my documents used to train AI?
No. The AI assistant stays off until you agree to use it. When you ask a question, the document's text and your question are sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, to write the answer. PDFZyro does not use your documents to train AI, and Anthropic's terms for its API say it does not train its models on that content. You can withdraw your consent at any time in Settings.
Will PDFZyro change my original file?
Never. Every edit, signature, conversion or redaction is saved as a new version, and you can open or restore any earlier version from the document's history.
Can I take my files with me, or leave?
Any time. Download any document, or all your data in one zip file. Paid plans can be canceled whenever you like and stay active until the end of the period you paid for, and you can delete your account yourself.
